Ok... Hi again folks. I thought that I would pull out one of the hundreds of excellent sessions that I have in my collection to share with you. Jazzers... yes, I am talking to you. I want you to give this a good listen. You have probably, without much of a doubt, never heard of this band leader or any of the players here. That right there does not mean that they are not incredible musicians that are truly dedicated to their musical studies. These are some of the new Jazz youngsters that know their shit pretty darn good. You can look them all up for much more detail on what they have done in the past and what they are doing in the present. On this BBC "Jazz on 3" studio session from a couple of years ago, you get to hear six compositions. Five of them are by Jim Hart and one is by Antonin-Tri Hoang. Check 'em out and post some thoughts on what these guys are doing. maybe about their plauying techniques. composition structure, tonal qualities, etc. Or hell, don't.. which will probably be the case. Anyway, I've got it and now I've shared it. It's all up to you now to listen to it if you want. Enjoy...

Jez Nelson presents Jim Hart's Cloudmakers Trio in an exclusive session with guest saxophonist Antonin-Tri Hoang. Hart is a founder member of the London-based Loop Collective and has in the last 5 years become established as one of the UK's most exciting vibraphone players. His latest project, Cloudmakers Trio, features American bassist Michael Janisch and regular bandmate Dave Smith on drums. Their music blends the contemporary European tradition with influences such as Thelonious Monk and the New York downtown scene, the band have released a live albumwith avant-garde East Coast trumpeter Ralph Alessi. Here, they team up for the first time with young French saxophonist Antonin-Tri Hoang - a member of cutting-edge large ensemble the Orchestre National de Jazz.
